Does it cost anything?
No. Joining the beta and testing 2.0 is free.
Why do you need my email?
So I can send you your install links, and tell you when 2.0 launches. Any address works: the TestFlight and Google Play links are open invites, so nothing has to match your store account. I’ll only write to you about the beta and the launch.
What happens to my account and reading history?
They carry over. Sign in with the account you already use and your reading history is waiting for you.
What is TestFlight?
Apple’s official app for trying pre-release apps. It’s free on the App Store, made by Apple, and the standard way iOS betas are shared.
How polished is it?
It’s an early build. Most things feel great already, but you’ll hit the odd rough edge, and the interface is English-only for now. That’s exactly why your feedback matters.
Where do I report bugs or ideas?
Straight from the app, whenever something goes wrong, or in the Discord if you would rather talk it through. I read everything myself, and fixes land in the next builds.
Hi, I’m Marco. I started building Simply Fluent in 2018 as a little side project, and it went on to become something much bigger than I ever anticipated.
For the past months I’ve stepped back and rebuilt it properly, taking everything you’ve told me into account. A stronger interface, the gamification a lot of you asked for, and a reading experience I’m genuinely proud of.
This beta is the last step before launch, and the people testing it are shaping what 2.0 becomes. I’d love for you to be one of them.
